EXHIBITION SPONSORSHIP

The Bakehouse Art Complex presents an ambitious slate of curated exhibitions within our two galleries and other interior and exterior spaces throughout our campus. Presented year-round, they showcase the artistic production taking place on site and provide opportunities for professional advancement for our artist community.

The Audrey Love Gallery Exhibition Program

The Audrey Love Gallery is the main exhibition space at the Bakehouse Art Complex. Located adjacent to our public entrance, it is a welcome point for visitors. At 2,600 square feet, the gallery is transformed twice a year to present fresh perspectives – a group show, solo exhibition, or a site-specific installation.

The Swenson Gallery Exhibition Program

The Swenson gallery showcases fresh works by Bakehouse artists. Bakehouse plans to activate this space up to three times a year with solo or group shows featuring Bakehouse artists. The space provides a critical platform for artists, and we prioritize artists who are not represented in the commercial gallery system.

The 33rd Street Wall

Our 33rd Street wall, 250” long, provides over 2,000 square feet for site specific, community-focused installations. This wall is a critical component of the Bakehouse’s commitment to engaging with our neighbors, providing a point of intersection between our interior and exterior communities. This exterior “canvas” allows us to break down physical barriers and share the artistic production taking place within our campus with the larger community. In recognition of exhibition sponsorship, the Bakehouse Art Complex will provide the following:

  • Sponsorship recognition on the wall and Bakehouse donor wall

  • Recognition in all printed and digital material related to the exhibition

  • Verbal recognition at exhibition openings and related events

  • Private exhibition tour led by exhibition curator (for up to twenty guests)

The Bakehouse Exhibition Fund

The Bakehouse Exhibition Fund provides general operating funds for exhibitions on and throughout the Bakehouse campus.  All donors to this fund will be invited to exhibition opening receptions and special events and listed on our donor wall as Bakehouse Exhibition Fund contributors.

 ARTIST SUPPORT

Bakehouse is the working home to over 100 resident and associate artists, deriving from a rich diversity of backgrounds. Their work represents a broad range of media and practices, from painting to performance, from traditional to experimental. You can directly support the Bakehouse’s artist community through the following opportunities.

Artist Studio

Bakehouse Art Complex offers affordable studios, shared workshop spaces, and artistic advancement programs, among other amenities, to working artists. The Studio Residency Program offers 62 indoor and outdoor studios at low to no cost on our 2.3-acre campus. Bakehouse's priority is to provide full and partial scholarships for artists who demonstrate merit and financial need. Without these scholarships, many artists would be unable to pursue their artistic practice.

In recognition of studio sponsorship, the Bakehouse Art Complex will provide the following:

Recognition on studio space*

  • Recognition on the Bakehouse donor wall

  • Opportunity to meet with the artist working in your named studio (for up to four guests)

*We will do our best to pair you with a Bakehouse artist whose work aligns with your interests.
