The Bakehouse Art Complex stands at the heart of South Florida’s arts scene, where it has been a beacon of creativity and collaboration for hundreds of artists over four decades.
We are not just a studio space. We are the creative spirit of Miami!

Bakehouse provides affordable and accessible making spaces, career-development opportunities, and a unique peer community for over 100 artists who are redefining the boundaries of practice, from evocative paintings and photography to interactive installations and groundbreaking performances. 

Bakehouse empowers its artists and we stand by our legacy. Go to any gallery, public art installation, art week event, or contemporary art museum in South Florida and odds are strong that at least one (usually multiple) Bakehouse artists will be there showing their work.
Bakehouse artists are recognized worldwide, and they help put Miami on the cultural map.

Your contributions will help us fund and make necessary improvements to our historic 100 year building, artist studios, as well as the production facilities we provide to artists at below market rates so our artists can afford them.

Your contributions will help us host cutting-edge programming, events, and workshops.

Your contributions will help our organization forge new partnerships that bring exposure to Miami’s best artist and to keep us on the cultural radar.

Your contributions will allow us to strengthen our ties to our community in Wynwood Norte, and helps us to reimagine our 2.6 acres campus to expand and include: 250 units of affordable artist housing, Expanded studios and fabrication labs, Open green spaces, Cultural exhibition spaces that anchor Miami’s creative future.
