Villa Albertine x Bakehouse: Coldefy Talk

  • Bakehouse Art Complex 561 Northwest 32nd Street Miami, FL, 33127 United States (map)

Bakehouse is thrilled to launch a new partnership with Villa Albertine Miami and the French Consulate General in Miami, deepening our French connections while linking Villa Albertine residents with Miami’s creative community and local resources. As part of this collaboration, Bakehouse will host a series of public presentations by the 2025–26 residents on their respective research projects.

We kick off the series on October 15 with a presentation and conversation featuring French architects Coldefy, upcoming Villa Albertine residents. Founded in 2006 by Thomas Coldefy and Isabel Van Haute, Coldefy is known internationally for integrating natural elements into urban environments, with notable projects including the Hong Kong Design Institute, Fondation de Chine in Paris, and the French Pavilion for Expo 2025 in Osaka.

During their Miami residency, Coldefy will explore green space integration in urban environments— focusing on equity, affordability, cultural diversity, and climate resilience. On October 15, they’ll share insights into their work, process, and philosophy, and invite attendees to offer feedback to inform their Miami research initiative.
