Bakehouse artists Leo Castañeda, Amanda Linares, Cornelius Tulloch, and Troy Simmons were named finalists for the 2025 Florida Prize in Contemporary Art. Their work is currently on view as part of a group exhibition at the Orlando Museum of Art, highlighting ten of the most progressive and exciting artists working in Florida today.

Bakehouse artists Amanda Linares, Lauren Shapiro, and Gerbi Tsesarskaia are recipients of the 2025 South Florida Cultural Consortium Visual and Media Artists Awards. A group exhibition featuring their work will take place in spring 2026 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami.

Bakehouse artist Juan Luis Matos has a solo exhibition currently on view at David Castillo Gallery. Titled The Only Way Out is Love and Forgiveness, the show features films created during his Cité internationale des arts x Bakehouse residency in Paris. The exhibition runs through August 30.

Summer Open artists Christopher Mitchell and Sydney Rose Maubert have been awarded 2025 WaveMaker Grants, supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts’ Regional Regranting Program. Their projects were selected for conceptual rigor, relevance to Miami’s cultural context, and community impact. Both artists are in residence in Bakehouse’s Audrey Love Gallery through mid-September.

Bakehouse artist Cornelius Tulloch will also be participating in The Armory Show’s Presents section this fall with a solo presentation of new work, on view from September 4 through 7.
