Join Us For A Week of  Pre-Election
"Art Therapy" At The Bakehouse

Lucky You! has been the signature fundraising event for the Bakehouse Art Complex since 2007. With a twist on its name, this year’s fundraiser draws on the political culture of the 2016 US presidential election through political art, political cartoons and other surprises. The Audrey Love Gallery will exhibit curated art works for auction and raffle sourced from BAC Resident Artists and beyond to inspire visitors and guests to hedge their bets to benefit the BAC. The Swenson Gallery will feature “Between Ballots 2013-2016: Art + Culture in America by Jim Morin,” a solo exhibition by the prolific Pulitzer Prize winning Miami Herald political cartoonist, who has generously donated four original works for our auction. The Iowa State Fair, where the road to the White House begins every four years, informs the food and beverage on offer that evening. The dress is festive or funerary – voter’s choice!
