Jose moved to United States in 2006 with his family in search of the American Dream. Since then, he hasn't left school or his art. In 2007 through 2009 he was enrolled at the Southwest Florida College in Fort Myers, Florida where he graduated with an Associate in Graphic Design. He is currently enrolled at the Miami International University of Art and Design for a master in the Fine Art Program.
"I remember how I would exchange the soccer ball or the baseball bat for that mud formed in the puddles of rainy days. Every time my fingers touched the clay it was like a whole new feeling for me, it was like it spoke to me and gave me all those brilliant ideas I still have". - Jose J. Pita Vazquez
