Claudio Roncoli

Claudio Roncoli born in Buenos Aires, 1971. Graduated in your country National "Prilidiano Pueyrredón" Fine Arts School (1995) with the title of National Teacher of Drawing and Painting. He attended workshops and Dartiguelongue Cristina Marino Santa María in Argentina. Claudio specialized in screen printing with Andrea Moccio recorded in Buenos Aires and Lima Miguel Lescano.

For 15 years he worked as an art director in advertising agencies to devote 100 percent to art from 2004 to inaugurate "Merienda", his first solo exhibition at Gallery Praxs Buenos Aires. By his own definition it is foremost: an interventionist. Claudio is inspired by images that were part of the popular culture during the 50, 60 and 70 which then redefines the artist. In his creations he incorporates elements of advertising, cartoon, design and collage, weaving them with resources such as image scanning or re-photograph. Using a special technique without leaving his biting irony and humor, through what he calls the "constant balance of life", the juxtaposition of images and the use of bright colors takes the viewer to a "brave new world".

The American Dream of Claudio Roncoli actually begins in his work, in these scenes that recreate the atmosphere of the fifties and sixties, where everything seems to be a promise of prosperity and success. Rescued from the great weeklies of the time, images and pasisajes filled with rainbows and stars take on a new dimension.
