El JARDIN DE LOS MUERTOS CONTENTITOS
October 22 – November 2, 2014
The centerpiece of the event is the El Jardin De Los Muertos Contentitos art exhibition, which will be on view in the BAC’s 2,600-square-foot Audrey Love Gallery. Showcasing the creative minds behind the event, artifacts from previous skeleton processionals shall merge with new visions, offering a peek inside the creative palettes of the artists behind this event as they showcase Day of the Dead reflections in their own creations. Artists include event founders Jim Hammond (Puppet Arts), Chuck Loose (Printmaking), Janet Luru Rudawsky (Ceramics), and Ian Rowan (Installation Art). Additional work will be contributed by Adriana Sandoval (Ofrendas), Ronni Gerstel (Puppet Arts), Sonia Neira Matthews (Puppet Arts), Omar Angulo (Ink), Jorge de Rojas (Papier Mache) as well as other official DOTD artists.
