BAC Associate Artist Program

The Bakehouse Art Complex offers Associate Artists:

The Bakehouse Art Complex’S (BAC) Associate Artist Program is an artist membership program for professional artists who are seeking wider exposure as well as working facilities even when they don't have a studio at BAC.

Ideal candidates are talented emerging and mid-career artists who are committed to their work and willing to add value to this dynamic, collaborative and creative community of over 60 working professionals. BAC offers Associate Artists: - Access to the following working facilities: a Clean Room with fumes extractor, a Print Room with two printing presses, a resin box for aquatint, working tables with glass top and fumes extractor; a Woodshop with a table saw, band saw, drill press, belt sander and working benches; and a Ceramics Room with 6 wheels and ceramic Kilns; - Wider Exposure and Reach: Associate Artists’ work is eligible to be installed in BAC’s common areas and galleries. Their names and individual websites are listed on the BAC’s website and there are plenty of networking opportunities with a growing base of working artists; - A discounted rate for the non-free events within BAC’s Professional Development Program; - Information on exhibition and educational opportunities at BAC and beyond; - Free Wi-Fi, Water and Parking. Our facilities are open and available on work days during BAC's business hours, and on the weekends, Noon-5pm. *Thanks to the generous support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation the BAC will be upgrading its workshops and opening a Foundry in 2018.
