BAC Associate Artist Program
The Bakehouse Art Complex offers Associate Artists:
Exhibition and Educational Opportunities:
BAC maintains a programming schedule compromised of over 18 exhibitions per season as well as multiple fundraisers, education programs and artist advancement workshops. BAC Associate Artists are invited to submit work for consideration to any open BAC exhibitions (typically 5 - 7 per season). Associate Artists enjoy discounted rates for applications and programs. Associate Artists are also invited to participate in outside exhibition and sale opportunities during the year.
Access to various working facilities:
BAC houses a fully functional print room & dark room, a woodworking area, welding room and ceramic kilns for artist use. Thanks to the generous support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, BAC will be upgrading its workshop spaces and creating a ceramics studio and a working metal-casting foundry in 2015. These in-house amenities provide artists with the opportunity to develop their work or to experiment and integrate new media into their work. These facilities are open and available daily during BAC's business hours.
Wider Exposure and Reach:
Associate Artists receive online presence via the Bakehouse Art Complex website and networking opportunities with a growing base of working artists.
